Emmanuel aka Maan

Wonder the extent to which one's name bears an influence on a person's character/personality. Wiki the name 'Emmanuel' and you ll find beliefs and references (albeit a few contradictions) to this name being attributed to Child-Jesus. Memory this while I tell you of another nick name I know off that exists "Maan kutty" Thats how they call him at home. Friends call him 'Maan' (Maan in Tamil is deer and Kutty in tamil is tender/small). The purity n simplicity of child Jesus, the grace n cuteness of the deer - collectively summarizes this bloke. His child like character, smile and innocence has been his USP's.
          Calls me every now and then just to say that there came a relative or an acquaintance to his mom with a marriage proposal (should be close to 50 by now)... I think he deserves it. Poor that-girl, will be subjected to a non-stop gyan (lecture) on 'windows active directory' n blah blah.. That-poor-girl (if reading this) "Don't be startled, His involvement and sincerity shows up and nothing else"
          We have known each other since our primary school days. We were classmates, we were neighbors, our families shared similar financial plights, we grew up knowing that we shoulder responsibilities... Despite our different paths we have/had similar dreams... With many more to come - Looking back, It has been a fighting yet great journey. If I were to bestow the term 'Comrade'. He would doubtlessly top my list.
